Scott Baio Looking for Some More Happy Days

These days certainly are gloomy days. Real unemployment, (not the Obama Administration’s misleading numbers), has had a lasting, negative impact on our economy. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics 93 million people aged 16 or older are out of the workforce. (That’s nearly one-third of our population). President Obama continues to employ unconstitutional Executive Orders using presidential overreach to go beyond Congress in the areas of immigration and gun control. Racial tensions are worse now than they have been in 45 years.

It really is time for some happy days again.

Saturday night on the Fox News show, “Justice with Judge Jeanine”, Scott Baio, the former “Happy Days” and “Charles in Charge” star, endorsed Donald Trump for president.

When asked by the host, Jeanine Pirro who his presidential candidate would be, Baio said, “Trump.”

“It’s very simple, because when he speaks I understand him,” Baio explained. “He speaks like I speak. He communicates with people very well.”

Baio went on to say, “I’m fed up, I’m done with them, I’m done with the Republicans. They’ve lied and conned and BS’d me for a very long time now and I don’t even consider myself Republican anymore. I’m a conservative independent.”

Millions of American’s feel the same as Baio does. They are fed up with the Washington establishment and the lies they have spun during each election cycle only to be duped once the politician is elected. It’s really no different than a shell game.

Street shell game con men know that the pea isn’t under the shell. It’s only when the half-drunk sucker points to a shell that the pea magically appears under a different one.

Politicians simply play the same game at a different level.

That’s what Baio is saying when he states that he is tired of being, “lied and conned and BS’d.” This is what has happened to the public for years whether it’s regarding Benghazi, secure emails, “if you like your [insurance] plan, you can keep your plan”, Social Security, “read my lips; no new taxes”, “I didn’t have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinski”, “he [Saddam Hussein is] a threat because he is dealing with al Qaeda”, “I’m not a crook”, IRS scandal, Fast and Furious scandal; on and on and on.

There really is an endless supply of material.

American’s are beginning to push back against lying politicians. Looking through the lens of the sitcom, Happy Days, we can identify just exactly what the temperament of the public is for D.C.’s “politics as usual.”

You may remember in season 3 an episode called, Jailhouse Rock, where Officer Kirk imposes a 10 o’clock curfew and Richie suggests they protest, get arrested, and fight it out in the courts.

This same kind of civil unrest is now baking in the GOP primary. With waves of Trump support, crony elites like Mitt Romney, Karl Rove, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, Senate Majority Leaders Mitch McConnell and others like them are attempting to “rig the game”, and dump Trump. Doing so will disenfranchise millions of voters and it’s highly likely that they never come back to the GOP.

The establishment always has their pick in the presidential horserace, and know that the race is normally tilted in their favor. (The shell game con man and the race track bookie work out of the same office). Much like in Happy Days season 2, episode 15 when Howard supported the Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richie backed the Democrat Adlai Stevenson. Howard was appalled that Richie would go against the expected norm.

Conservatives in droves are flocking to Trump over the establishment favorites of Bush, Rubio, and Kasich. Conservatives have learned like Richie that critical thinking and independent direction is necessary in order to rescue democracy from the ruling class and their crony corporatists.

Marion showed us the need to liberate, freeing yourself from the shackles of the taskmaster. In season 4 episode 16, Marion rebelled against Howard and societal norms by breaking loose from her housewife doldrums taking a job at Arnold’s as a waitress.

Just as Marion challenged society’s expectations and charted her own, independent course, conservatives too have looked upon this behemoth bureaucracy of bondage and now sees it for what it is. Unmasked and naked, it is a hideous monstrosity of all that is against individual liberties and democratic government.

The establishment seeks gluttonous power simply for the sake of self-preservation. Not for any noble cause of servanthood to protect and propel America into the future. This has become no clearer than during this election cycle and through the voices of Trump, and so many other brave American’s who are ready to challenge the taskmaster.

Thanks Chachi Arcola for your rebel spirit and insurgent ideals. In an age of mind-control political correctness perpetuated by wizards behind the curtain, the timing is perfect for a return to happier days.
