“Deplorables Unite” NOT Just About Americans – Watch

Okay, this year in politics just officially got weird.  Youtube channel “Trumpennials” posted a video that just has to be seen to understand that the movement which has given the United States Donald Trump as a presidential candidate is really world-wide.  The people all over western civilization are using peaceful means to protest their being used by the globalist establishment.  Brexit is part of it.  Angela Merkel taking a beating in the German elections is part of it.  So is the embrace American conservatives gave the title “Basket of Deplorables”.  That’s us.  The common folk. Salt of the earth.  The people who have no idea how high to hold a pinky while sipping champagne.

The image we now see all over the internet of “Les Deplorables” originated on a Conservative Treehouse comment thread.  Treeper Keln first put it up that weekend when Hillary Clinton uttered the phrase.  He took an image from a poster for the musical “Les Miserables” and gave it an American twist.

The actual Victor Hugo novel and the musical by the same name are known in the United States, but not necessarily the details of the actual production or the story.  So the “Trumpennials” took the song “Do You Hear The People Sing” and turned the visuals into the 21st Century version.

Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the song of angry men?
It is the music of the people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes.

Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the barricade
Is there a world you long to see?

The bloodless, but stern and impassioned revolution may not work, but the people of the west are tired of the status quo and being talked down to and taken advantage of by the powers that be.  We are the ones who are trampled. We are Les Deplorabless.
